Scott Morrow has been a well-known financial educator in the Hudson Valley since 1999. As a Financial Consultant at Wealth Management at Hudson Valley Credit Union, he works very closely with clients to help them plan for a more secure financial future. Scott is experienced in Retirement Planning, Estate Planning, Insurance and Wealth Management for individuals and businesses. He is also certified by the New York State Insurance Department as an approved Long-Term Care and Life Insurance professional.
His mission is to offer personalized options that allow investors to make informed financial decisions. In addition to meeting personally, Scott also conducts a number of free, educational seminars and workshops on timely topics such as Social Security, retirement, and estate planning.
Scott has earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, which required completing a rigorous 2-year course and passing the national exam. CFP® professionals must meet the Financial Planners Standards Council standards in education, experience, examination and ethics. CFP® professionals must also have 30 hours of continuing education every year and agree to abide by the CFP® Code of Ethics to renew their right to use the credential annually.
In 2012, Scott earned the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®). As a CLU®, he offers insurance expertise by providing in-depth knowledge on the insurance needs of individuals, business owners and professional clients.
As a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, Scott is a caring and active participant in the community. Scott and his family are longtime supporters of the St. Basil Academy in Garrison, NY. The St. Basil Academy is a national, not-for-profit philanthropic center which provides love, shelter, food, education, protection and a home for orphans, children of chronically ill or destitute parents, or children from a broken home. He is a former Vice President for the Dutchess County Chapter of a National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
